Foundayo (orforglipron) received FDA approval on April 1, 2026, and is now available by prescription across the United States. It's the first non-peptide oral GLP-1 pill for weight loss — a once-daily tablet you can take any time, with or without food. Here's exactly how to get it.

Availability Timeline

  • April 1, 2026 — FDA approval; prescriptions accepted immediately
  • April 6, 2026 — LillyDirect begins free home delivery
  • April 8, 2026 — Amazon Pharmacy launches Foundayo with same-day delivery in select cities
  • April–June 2026 — Retail pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens, etc.) and telehealth providers rolling out access
  • July 1, 2026 — Medicare Part D coverage begins at $50/month for eligible beneficiaries

How to Get Foundayo: Step by Step

Foundayo requires a prescription — it cannot be purchased over the counter. Here's the fastest path:

1. Get a Prescription

You have three options:

  • LillyDirect — Visit LillyDirect.com for an online clinician consultation. If approved, your prescription is filled and shipped directly.
  • Telehealth providers — LifeMD, Ro, Hims & Hers, Found, and others now prescribe Foundayo. Online consultations typically take 15-30 minutes.
  • Your doctor — Any licensed prescriber can write a Foundayo prescription. Bring up the medication at your next appointment or request a telehealth visit.

  • Overweight — BMI ≥27 with at least one weight-related condition (high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, sleep apnea)

It's used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. Foundayo should not be combined with other GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, Rybelsus).

Amazon automatically applies manufacturer coupons at checkout, and has reported that GLP-1 medications are their largest savings category (over $200 million saved for customers to date).

To order via Amazon Pharmacy, you need a valid prescription from your doctor or telehealth provider. Amazon accepts most insurance plans.
